2006 Ag and Conservation Field Day

The weather was a bit threatening, but that didn't stop some 350 elementary school students from western Pike County from attending the annual Ag Field Day at the Orr Ag Research Center near Perry on Friday, April 28.  The event was once again made possible through a generous donation by the Two Rivers Jeep Club.

Students had the opportunity to visit a number of agriculture and wildlife related demonstrations and booths during the day. Of course the highlight of the event was having their picture taken on, in and under Don Maxheimer's yellow YJ.  

Joining Don were Doug Maxheimer with son Keegan, Alan Grady with son Thomas and daughter Anna, and Walt Gilbert.
